Apple Vision Pro
App Store
To Install the headset app on the Apple Vision Pro's app store all you have to do is navigate to this website's downloads page in the headset's browser, then click on the app store icon.
NOTE: ExpandXR is unlisted in the app store, meaning you'll need the link to access the app page, you won't be able to find it by searching the name.
The installation process is very easy, it’s like installing any app on the Apple Store. Select the app and press Get. Once it has downloaded you’ll see it in the home menu.
As with any Apple Vision Pro app, just look at it and tap your thumb and index finger to launch the app.
Desktop Version
Windows
Launcher
Navigate to this website's downloads page and click the "download" button for the Windows version of the launcher. A file named "ExpandXR-Launcher-Setup.exe" will begin downloading, open it when it's done.
Note: Windows Defender may flag this as an unrecognized app, instead of clicking "don't run", click "More info" and then "Run anyway"
Click "Next" through all the setup options and then click "Install". It's recommended to create a desktop shortcut for the launcher if you'll be using ExpandXR frequently.
Now you can open the launcher!
Proceed to the launcher guide at the bottom of this page for instructions on how to navigate the launcher itself.
Standalone
Navigate to this website's downloads page and scroll to the section with standalone versions.
Click the download button for the Windows version of the app that you want to download (usually the build at the top of the list). A file named "vX.X.X.zip" will begin downloading.
When the download is complete, right click on the zip file and select "Extract All" from the options.
Select the location you want ExpandXR to be extracted to, we recommend C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\ExpandXR
Now ExpandXR has been downloaded!
It's recommended to create a desktop shortcut for the launcher if you'll be using ExpandXR frequently.
To do this right click on the "ExpandXR.exe" file in the location you extracted the files to.
Then select "Show More Options" and "Create Shortcut".
Now that you've created a shortcut to the exe file, you can put it wherever you want!

Mac
Standalone
Navigate to this website's downloads page and scroll to the section with standalone versions.
Click the download button for the Windows version of the app that you want to download (usually the build at the top of the list). A file named "vX.X.X.zip" will begin downloading.
When the download is complete, open your downloads folder and find the "ExpandXR.app" file. It may be inside a folder with the name of the version.
Move the .app file to your "Applications" folder.
Now you should be able to open ExpandXR like any other app on your Mac!
Note: Your Mac may flag this as an unrecognized app when opening it for the first time, if this happens navigate to Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Security, then click "Open Anyway". If you don't see "Open Anyway" as an option try opening ExpandXR again.

Then just double-click the app icon to open the app.

The ExpandXR launcher provides an easy method for keeping your version of ExpandXR up-to-date, so you can avoid the hassle of repeating the above set-up instructions every time you want to update ExpandXR.

Main Menu
When you open the launcher you'll be met with the main menu.
Update and Settings buttons
Located in the top right, these open the update and settings menus respectively.

This panel contains links to a handful of very useful resources for ExpandXR users.
Installation Panel
Located at the bottom of the menu, used to install a version of ExpandXR on your device.
You can click the "Install" button to automatically install the latest version of ExpandXR to your device, or pick a specific version by using the dropdown menu located above the button.
After you install ExpandXR, the "Install" button will be replaced with a "Launch" button. Click this to launch ExpandXR.
Update Menu
This is what the update panel looks like when an update is ready. Notice that the update menu button is a different color when an update is ready to download.
Changelog
Shows a record of all the changes present in the update.
Refresh Button
Click this to check for new updates.
Update Button
Click this to download the new update.
Settings Menu
The settings panel lets you change some settings for ExpandXR and the launcher.
Install Location
The location on your device where the launcher will place new installs of ExpandXR.
Data Location
The location on your device where ExpandXR will store extra data (such as client data and custom scenario files).
Pre-Release Builds Opt-In
Check this to opt-in to testing new versions of ExpandXR before they are complete.
Uninstall Button
Click this to uninstall your current version of ExpandXR. Note that extra data and the launcher itself will NOT be deleted.
