Celine Bazzi
I graduated from Wayne State University in 2020, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a minor in Philosophy and Health Care Ethics. With hopes of attending medical school in the future, I joined the STARC team to pursue my passion for psychology and neuroscience in an exclusively research-driven field.
Through the Stress Risk and Resilience of the Syrian and Iraqi Survivors of Torture project, I have been able to combine my love for the study of the human psyche with my devotion to the Arab-American immigrant community. In my free time, I love to read, most notably the works of famous Stoic philosophers. I also value being connected to my Lebanese roots by spending quality time with family.
As an aspiring physician, I hope to continue to shed light on various groups of people and psychological understandings that have been overlooked, especially within the Arab-American community.
