I am a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Tanja Jovanovic at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. I recently graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Arabic. During my studies, I worked with refugee populations domestically as a research assistant at Connecting Cultures, a clinic dedicated to providing psychosocial support to refugees and asylum seekers who have survived torture and trauma, and abroad in Jordan with CARE Jordan at Azraq Camp. When not working, I enjoy running, snuggling with my pups, and toying with new kombucha brews. I am currently involved in the Stress Risk and Resilience in Syrian and Iraqi Refugees and Survivors of Torture research team.
